Meet the Carman brothers and their families. Josh and Jason Carman grew up in Pennsylvania, graduated college, and went on to establish their careers in finance and business. They are Christ-followers who enjoy the outdoors, sports, travel, food, and spending time with family and friends. From a young age, they have been active in sports and seemed to turn everything into a fun and competitive game.
In 2020, when many of us adjusted to the life of quarantine, Josh did what he has always done and created fun games out of nothing, which is how Popdarts originated. After coming up with an initial prototype and establishing the game play, Josh and Jason set off on this journey with help from friends and family to make Popdarts what it is today.
Our mission is to bring you a game that brings friends and family of all ages together, fuels creativity, and challenges abilities in a world that isolates us with devices.
Popdarts Pro Pack, Popdarts Original Pack, Popdarts Expansion Pack, and Popdarts Glow Pack are the available product options. Each pack includes 3 Popdarts of different colors, a target marker, a carrying bag with rules, and a Popdarts sticker. The packs also offer a score keeper on the website and the ability to play with up to 6 players.
The game is played with two or more players. To start, the winner of a rock-paper-scissors match chooses the first target marker location and the color of their team's Popdarts. Players take turns throwing their Popdarts, aiming to land on the Wigglenobber target marker or get closest to it. After both players have thrown all their Popdarts, the points are awarded using "Cancellation Scoring," where the points of one player cancel out the points of the opponent.
Landing on the Wigglenobber target marker earns 10 points, the closest Popdart that sticks earns 3 points, and each other Popdart that sticks earns 1 point. A "Wigglenobber" occurs when one Popdart lands on top of another, and this is worth double the points of the Popdart it lands on.
The player that was awarded points in the previous round begins the next round by selecting the next target marker location. Each game consists of multiple rounds, and the first team to reach 21 points wins.
Popdarts can be played wherever you go, indoors or outdoors, on smooth surfaces like a countertop, refrigerator, window, car windshield, glass door, or surfboard. It's a game that brings friends and family together, fuels creativity, and challenges abilities in a world that isolates us with devices.
